Brackendowns SAPS clamps down on crime

A total of 17 vehicles and 36 people were searched during the operation.

Brackendowns SAPS conducted a joint operation with the Brackendowns CPF on November 13.

According to Brackendowns SAPS spokesperson WO Gerhard Cornelius, the operation was held in the Brackendowns area to clamp down on crimes, including substance abuse and possession thereof.

As part of the operation, a vehicle control point was staged where awareness regarding the crime was raised among drivers.

A total of 17 vehicles and 36 people were searched during the operation.

Two arrests were made during the operation, one for selling liquor without a licence and one for possession of drugs.
