Reports indicate that while the body was found in the street outside the club, the scene was in no way involved with the club itself.

Stefan Fourie from the Alberton Rugby Club Clubhouse and Grill restaurant indicated to the RECORD that on the discovery of the body they were responsible for ensuring that the necessary security and emergency services responded to the scene.

They took steps to do everything in their power to ensure the safety of their patrons and to limit the disruption that could be caused to them.
