Alberton Lions gets even bigger

The Alberton Lions now count 57 members among their ranks.

The Alberton Lions Club is the largest Lions Club in Southern Africa and is now even bigger and better with the induction of five new members on April 19 at their monthly general business meeting.

Alberton Lions Club now has 57 members, including eight members at their Fourways branch. The team focuses on numerous upliftment projects from Johannesburg South to Alberton and beyond. These projects are focused on combating and raising awareness on issues including hunger, environmental issues, diabetes, vision and paediatric cancer.

Lions Club International is over 100 years old and is the largest service organisation in the world. The Alberton Lions Club turned 50 last year (chartered in 1970) and serves approximately 50 000 less fortunate community members every year.
