A burglar has been arrested in the early hours of August 4 in McBride Street in Brackenhurst.
A CPF member spotted the suspect jumping over a wall and immediately reported it.

“We then reacted and on arrival, several properties were searched and resulted in one suspect being apprehended,” said Tyrone van der Merwe, sales director of CPS Security.
A stolen TV and a gas bottle were recovered, which were stolen from two separate properties.

There has been an increase in burglaries in the Brackenhurst area.
“We suspect this was the same suspect who broke into properties over the last few weeks as he had an X-mark underneath his shoes which we saw footprints of in gardens during previous incidents,” van der Merwe said.
“Thank you to the alert CPF member who originally spotted the suspect jumping the wall and reported it immediately.”
Brackendowns SAPS was contacted, and the suspect was taken into custody.
