Alberton High teacher honoured by Pick n Pay School Club

Alberton High School teacher Lizelle de Bruin was recently recognised by Pick n Pay School Club for Women’s Month.

Alberton High School applauded Lizelle de Bruin after being nominated as Female Leader in Education, nominated by Pick n Pay School Club for Women’s Month.

De Bruin is the head of Computer Applications Technology (CAT) as well as the IT department and has been teaching Grade 12 economics for the past 13 years.

According to Keara Dunn of Alberton High School, she is an inspiration and role model to those closest to her, a passionate, hardworking, organised and goal-driven individual.

“All these attributes contribute to the reason why she is well-deserving of this outstanding achievement of leadership. We look forward to seeing her grow further in her career and achieve all the goals she has set out for herself. Alberton High supports her all the way,” she said.

De Bruin told the RECORD that she was proud to be a part of her learners’ growth as they evolve into young economists who embark on the world with all its challenges.
