WATCH: CHOC Foundation receives R8 000 from Alberton High

As part of the school’s fund-raiser, Alberton High School presented an R8 000 contribution to CHOC Foundation on October 18.

Following the school’s recently held fund-raiser, CHOC Foundation received an R8 000 donation from Alberton High School on October 18.

Learners and teachers joined hands to make a difference to CHOC Foundation and baked and sold over 600 tasty cupcakes.

Adri Oosthuizen, a teacher at the school, challenged other schools to join in on lending a helping hand.

During her address, Brenda Hurbert of CHOC Foundation thanked the school for spreading love and changing the lives of many through their donation.

“We have different houses in Soweto, Pretoria, Cape Town and other parts of the country. We house young children with a parent or a caregiver free of charge and they get free meals and transportation.

I’ve been in awe lately. I have been to a couple of schools and saw the care, concern and compassion they have for others,” she said.
