Tree of Lights 2021

New venue for Stepping Stone Hospice and Care Services annual Tree of Lights ceremony.

Stepping Stone Hospice and Care Services annual Tree of Lights ceremony will be held on November 26 in the beautiful Hospice Gardens at the corner of 15 Heidelberg and Ascot roads.

The purpose of the event is to honour and remember our loved ones who are no longer with us.

“Not only is it a perfect opportunity to enjoy a picnic under starry skies with family and loved ones, but you can also now add your remembrance globe in celebration of your loved one at only R100 per globe and know that the funds will go towards a good cause.

“Funds raised ensure hope, comfort and support continue to be provided for Stepping Stone Hospice patients and families on the journey of life-limiting illnesses,” said Tersia Burger, CEO of Stepping Stone Hospice and Care Services.

In purchasing a Remembrance Globe, you will be offered the opportunity to write a dedicated message to your loved one that will be posted on a special Tree of Lights page on the Stepping Stone Hospice website.

You can then view and share your dedicated messages with friends, family and colleagues on your favourite social media platform.

The celebrations will start at 17:30 with entertainment and traditional carols by candlelight.

Pancakes, prego rolls, hot dogs, crisps, sweets, cooldrinks and water will be on sale.

There will also be entertainment for the little ones.

The actual lighting of the tree will take place at approximately 19:45 (weather permitting), when hundreds of globes will light up with a soft radiance.
