Hijacker sentenced to 15 years’ imprisonment
Investigating officer applauded by SAPS.
Alberton SAPS is proud of Sgt Murabeli Terence Ralinala, who investigated a hijacking case in which a suspect was recently sentenced to 15 years in prison.
“Job well done by Sgt Ralinala who made sure no stone was left unturned during his investigation,” said Capt Manare Ramotshela, spokesperson for Alberton SAPS.
On November 15 in 2019 at about 13:10, two suspects hijacked a victim from a transport company.
During the incident, one suspect was caught red-handed behind the wheel and brought to the police station.
“The docket was allocated to Ralinala, who gathered all the information needed before the suspect appeared in court.
“Management of the Ekurhuleni district, as well as the station management, applauded the investigating officer for his efforts since the conviction will serve as a deterrent message to other criminals,” Ramotshela concluded.
