Alberton SAPS detains suspect for stolen property

An intelligence-driven operation led to the arrest of a man who reportedly stole motor parts from a truck recently.

An intelligence-driven operation resulted in the arrest of a male suspect on November 26.

Alberton SAPS has opened a case of possession of the suspected stolen property after detaining one male suspect.

The suspect is said to have stolen motor parts from a company truck for which he reportedly used to work for.

According to Capt Manare Ramotshela of Alberton SAPS, the manager of the company received the information and reported it.

“One suspect was at the scene of the crime and the alleged stolen goods were handed back to the owner in good condition. The management of Alberton SAPS commended members for their swift response to ensure the suspect is brought to book to face the full might of the law,” he said.

The suspect is expected to appear in a local court soon.
