Johannesburg Central police apprehended a 41-year-old man for rape at a garage on January 15.
Johannesburg Central SAPS acting communications officer Const Constance Lelimo said it is alleged the victim was at a party on December 17, fighting with her boyfriend, when she ran to a garage where she found two petrol attendants in uniform. It is alleged the petrol attendants called her inside the restroom, as it was cold.
“One of them left her with the other one, who gave her R50 and told her he wants to sleep with her. He grabbed her and pushed her onto a chair while undressing her. While in the act of raping her, he was disturbed by someone who was at the door. The victim managed to run away. An investigation is underway,” she said.
