SAPS talks to learners about sexual crimes

Brackendowns SAPS, Brackendowns CPF, the station youth desk and Fighting for Societal Health recently visited Academic Success Private School to speak to the learners.

The topic of the day’s talks was sexual offences. Representatives from SAPS spoke to learners about these offences, crimes that affect the youth and human trafficking.

“Learners should know where to draw the line and the message was made very clear that sexual offence does not only mean rape but that there are many offences such as sexual assault and sexual harassment,” said WO Gerhard Cornelius, spokesperson for Brackendowns SAPS.

“The seriousness of these offences was discussed and the sequences such as being arrested.”

Fighting for Societal Health spoke to learners about sex, the 12 excuses for having sex, sexual diseases and teen pregnancy.
