Leopard’s Rest water supply to be restored on Tuesday

Municipal responds to water supply outage in Leopard’s Rest as they have entered day 9 without water.

After Leopard’s Rest residents temporarily closed the JG Strydom and Kliprivier provincial road due to a water outage on March 31, the municipality finally responded.

According to Ekurhuleni spokesperson, Zweli Dlamini, the City’s water technical teams are working around the clock to repair the damaged steel pipe.

“We are closely monitoring the supply of water to all affected communities to ensure that their water needs are met,” said Dlamini.

Municipal encourages affected members to make use of the deployed Jojo tanks, roving water tankers and activated taps.

The municipal is promising to work tirelessly to ensure that water is restored by April 5.

Dlamini thanked customers for their patience and understanding during this tough time, and they apologise for the inconvenience caused.
