Three arrested in Newmarket

The suspects drove in a vehicle with no number plates.

Three men has been arrested at Mall at Newmarket on April 5.

“We were contacted by a community member regarding a white Mercedes-Benz with no number plates fleeing from the mall,” said CPS Security sales director Tyrone van der Merwe.

The suspects had stolen a cellphone from a victim and were attempting to get away.

CPS Security tactical team responded swiftly and stopped the vehicle.

Three suspects were taken into custody by EMPD members.

“Job well done to everyone involved. Thank you to the EMPD for the assistance,” said van der Merwe.
