Alberton entities come together for knowledge sharing session
Alberton entities joined together for information worth session. The session covered different topics but mostly to work together as the community to achieve making Alberton a safe place.
Different entities from Alberton gathered for a knowledge sharing session, at the Alberton Dam, on May 13.
The aim of the session was to teach one another about the different kinds of services each entity has to offer to the public at large.
Old Mutual, CPS Financial Services, Employee Health and Wellness Programme, social workers and SAPS were the main entities to share their knowledge.
Distinct matters were discussed during the session, which included how to manage your finances, dealing with gender-based violence, establishing work-related relationships and empowering one another.
The station commander of Alberton SAPS, Colonel Olven Letloenyane, also joined in this initiative and shared his knowledge and encouraged people to work together.
According to Letloenyane, it is important to sustain healthy relationships in the working space so as to keep the company’s culture and goals at the peak.
“The most important factor to me is to see our Alberton residents happy with the level of service we deliver as the entities of Alberton. I still strongly believe that if we can unite as the community, we can make wonders and make Alberton a safe place to reside in,” said Letloenyane.
Among the individuals who gathered on the day, Employee Health and Wellness Programme (EWHP) staff shared information about what the organisation is based on.
According to Hellen Dzibana, the purpose of EWHP is to ensure that it improves employees’ well-being, productivity, and morale by providing health and wellness programmes that improve mental health, encourage positive lifestyle changes, coping skills, and good relationships.
The attendees later participated in small activities where they engaged with each other in teamwork sessions demonstrating the power of teamwork and making decisions together as a team.
