Memento marks golden jubilee
Alberton Bowls Club recently published a memento to celebrate their relationship with their members and associations in the community.
In recognition of their long-time relationship with their members and entities in the Alberton community, Alberton Bowls Club recently published a memento.
In light of their 50th anniversary celebrated in 2021, Alberton Bowls produced a memento to cherish their lasting relationship with the community.
In total, the collection of memento books produced cost them R26 000. However, with the help of generous donors, the purchase was made possible.
The book entails the history of the club and their achievements.
As recognition for their relationship with the club, Alberton RECORD, among other organisations, received a personalised copy for their archives.
Ray van Niekerk, a member of the club, said in light of their 50th anniversary, they opted to do something more lasting than just a one-day occasion.
“We produced this book for each member and our major associations. Through the generosity of sponsors Perfect Delivery, MAG and SA Glass, the club published a commemorative magazine,” he said.
A personalised book was presented to each member, some past members and businesses who supported the club over recent years.
