Homeless, unemployed community members benefit from Uncle Baboo and Crew
More people week in and week out get the support from Uncle Baboo and Crew.
Uncle Baboo and Crew prepared two dhegs of mutton akhni for the homeless and unemployed community members on June 18.
The food was packaged into individual portions and the crew made its way to Mayfair near the BP Garage.
They parked off at the park and distributed the food to all the homeless and unemployed. They also handed out loaves of bread.
From there they proceeded to Fiestas to continue the distribution for the day.
Uncle Baboo said all recipients were grateful for the lovely meal. “A special thank you to all volunteers and Baboo’s crew. Thank you to the generous sponsors for your kind contributions,” he said.
Baboo’s Crew Winter Warmth Drive 2022
Uncle Baboo and crew have requested to visit Thuli House, an institute for mentally challenged men in Orange Farm on July 2.
They would like to distribute blankets, jackets and jerseys and any warm winter clothing items.
On the day of the distribution, they have been requested to serve the residents a warm meal. There are currently 60 permanent residents at the institute.
Baboo’s Crew call upon the community to please assist by donating your gently used winter items and blankets.
They also require assistance with the ingredients for the meal they will be providing.
Your generosity will be appreciated.
