Ensure vehicle is roadworthy – EMPD

Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality Police Department has urged road users to ensure their vehicles are roadworthy and has provided useful tips.

Ways to ensure roadworthiness

• There should be no signs of tampering on any of the vehicle identifiers.

• All doors must be easy to open from the inside and outside.

• All seatbelts must be in working order.

• All lights and indicators must be in good working order.

• All lights must be securely fitted, with no ingress of water.

• The windscreen must be free of cracks.

• Tyres should be in a good condition.
