Meat World and 94.7 toughest braai master competition a success
July 30 was a big and happy day for Robert Seton-Rogers after winning a huge price with the Meat World and 94.7 toughest braai master competition at the Alberton Lifestyle Centre.
Five contestants participated in the toughest braai master competition hosted by Meat World and 94.7 at the Alberton Lifestyle Centre on July 30.
Lesetja Legodi, Mandisa Dlozi, Bruno Pinto, Robert Seton-Rogers and Nqobile Dlamini presented the audience and judges with mouth-watering braaied meat.

Contestants were given five minutes beforehand to fill the basket with ingredients they need to make their braaied meat delicious to convince the judges that they have what it takes to be the toughest braai master in the region.
According to Frans Swart of the franchise, they previously hosted a similar braai master competition at one of their branches and they are planning to host another braai master competition after the one in Alberton.

“After hosting the toughest braai master in September, we will have a provincial competition, where we will be joined by our regional winners to compete against each other for the provincial title of the toughest braai master,” said Frans.
The competition was a result of tightening and strengthening the relationship between the three parties namely, Meat World, 94.7 and the consumers/audience.

The community of the greater Alberton also had the opportunity to taste the braaied meat through the various braai stations and voice their views on the meat.
The winner, Robert Seton-Rogers, told the Alberton Record that the competition was tough because he needed to ensure that the judges are convinced when they tasted his meat, that it was the best.

“I feel so happy that I won the competition. The aim was to serve the purpose of the competition correctly, handle the pressure while having effective communication with the audience,” said the Alberton winner.
Marketing manager of Meat World, Johane Scott, thanked everyone who joined the event and the contestants who took their time to participate.
