Animal Anti-Cruelty League Education Programme 2022

AACL education program

The Animal Anti-Cruelty League in Johannesburg is proud to announce the launch of new educational material for primary schools in Gauteng.

Primary schools will soon receive their full-colour, A3 size copies of the new Five Freedoms for Animals posters, as well as the Responsible Pet Care posters and accompanying activity/worksheets, absolutely free of charge. These will look great in classrooms and can be incorporated into lessons for information, activities and discussions.

The foundation phase will benefit by incorporating the materials into their animal-themed lesson plans.

More AACL education material for teachers to access, including posters, activity sheets, info brochures and lesson plans, can be found on the AACL Web Page under the Education heading.

These materials form part of the AACL Johannesburg’s Humane Education Programme which aims to educate pet owners on responsible pet care, and animal welfare issues and to promote the humane treatment of all animals.

The AACL Johannesburg Education Officer, Johann Steenkamp, will welcome an invitation to visit your school to present the responsible pet care programme. You can contact him on 011 435 0672 to arrange a visit.
