Alberton SAPS unit awarded as second runner-up in Ekurhuleni

Out of about 39 police stations in the Ekurhuleni District, Alberton SAPS Group B of the crime prevention unit was honoured for being second.

The well-deserved award received by the men and women in blue was based on their best successes and arrests over recent years.

Acting station commander Lieutenant Colonel Simpe Makopo congratulated and thanked the team for their tireless work and dedication.

“We are very proud of the members for attaining this award and having worked around the clock to combat crime in the Alberton community. The award and certificate were achieved through teamwork and dedication,” he said.
