Health Screening Day at South Rand Hospital

South Rand Hospital brings healthcare to healthcare workers on Health Screening Day.

Good health guarantees productivity. This is why the South Rand Hospital held a Health Screening Day on April 19 for all their staff.

Physical and mental wellness is essential, and with the demanding lifestyle of healthcare workers, there is rarely time to check one’s health.

Therefore, the hospital held Health Screening Day to ensure the staff are in good health to perform daily tasks such as monitoring patients, doing basic health checks, delivering care and services to the sick and ailing, and ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for staff and patients.

This initiative is a convenient way for the staff to access healthcare and is effective for ensuring staff are physically and mentally well.

The stakeholders of South Rand Hospital sponsored the initiative. The services offered include optometry, podiatry, orthoptics, dental, audiology, HIV/AIDS testing and counselling, physiotherapy, psychology, blood pressure and blood glucose testing.

Each healthcare service had its own station where staff were screened.
