Young learners in Alberton celebrate World Book Day

Learners of De Little Stars and Alberton Stars celebrated World Book Day by dressing up as their favourite characters and taking part in fun reading activities at school.

Learners of De Little Stars Preschool & Aftercare and Alberton Stars Private School celebrated World Book Day with fun activities to encourage reading.

At De Little Stars Preschool & Aftercare, children dressed up as their favourite storybook characters and took part in simple reading activities. The aim was to help them enjoy books and start learning to read at a young age.

The day included guided reading sessions and classroom activities to help learners improve their reading skills and enjoy books more.

Parents were encouraged to donate storybooks to help grow the preschool’s library, with more contributions still welcomed. Both schools used World Book Day to highlight the importance of reading and help children enjoy books from a young age.
