Cancer advocate Renée Singh appeals for support to fund treatment
The Warriors With A Purpose founder, who is living with Stage 4 metastatic breast and bone cancer, will benefit from a comedy night fundraiser in Brackenhurst on November 27.
Renée Singh, founder and CEO of Warriors With A Purpose, global cancer advocate and breast cancer survivor, is appealing to the community for support to continue her life-saving cancer treatment.
She is living with Stage 4 metastatic breast and bone cancer.
Singh, who is a Union for International Cancer Control member and World Patients Alliance member, has for almost nine years dedicated her life to advocating for cancer patients, particularly those facing inequalities in accessing treatment, information and support.
She is now facing the overwhelming financial burden of ongoing cancer treatment without medical aid, while continuing her own fight for life.
Standing in the gap
To help cover treatment costs, a comedy night fundraiser will be hosted on November 27 at 19:00 at Kantara Restaurant in Brackenhurst.
Tickets are priced at R400, with all proceeds going towards Singh’s ongoing treatments.
The fundraiser will bring the community together for an evening of laughter while making a difference.
“For years, I have stood in the gap for patients waiting to be seen and heard. Today, I humbly ask my community to stand in that gap for me,” Singh said.
“I still have so much to live for and so much more advocacy work to do. Every contribution gives me hope and helps me continue this fight.”
The community, businesses and individuals are being called upon to purchase tickets, contribute donations or sponsor tickets for those who cannot afford to attend.
For tickets, donations or sponsorships, contact Singh on 063 781 6643 or 063 781 6643 WhatsApp for proof of payment.
