Suspect arrested in Michelle Avenue

On the R59 highway, the vehicle reached speeds over 200 kph.

A high-speed chase between CPS Security officers and suspects took place in Michelle Avenue in Randhart.

“Backup was requested from members of SAPS after a black Mercedes was picked up in the Katlehong area. The vehicle sped away after the SAPS members attempted to pull the vehicle over,” said Tyrone van der Merwe, sales director of CPS Security.

The vehicle travelled at speeds over 200kph on the R59 highway where he then decided to enter the Alberton area.

“Our members intercepted and the vehicle was stopped. One suspect was arrested and transported to the Katlehong Police Station.”
