Well-known drug dealer arrested in Alberton North

A man is set to face charges of allegedly selling drugs after being found in possession of narcotics.

In the course of a routine patrol in the Alberton North neighbourhood, one of CPS Security reaction officers noticed a suspicious-looking individual walking with a dubious-looking packet on May 1.

According to CPS Security director, Tyrone van der Merwe, for the purpose of conducting a stop and search, they contacted Alberton SAPS.

The suspect was stopped and questioned by SAPS. He was found to be in possession of cash and drugs.

According to Alberton SAPS, the suspect is a well-known drug dealer.

The suspect was apprehended and taken to Alberton SAPS.

“Well done to our officer for taking another drug dealer off the streets,” Tyrone said.
