Two men arrested in Verwoerdpark for house burglary
CPS Security arrested two men after they were spotted by a resident jumping over a neighbour's wall.
Two house burglars were arrested in Schoeman Street, Verwoerdpark, on August 1.
According to CPS Security director, Tyrone van der Merwe, a neighbour called the CPS Security control room when he noticed two strange people jumping over a neighbour’s front wall.
“Our tactical team reacted swiftly and arrested both suspects after they attempted to break into the property,” said Van der Merwe.
The security officers contacted Alberton SAPS, who have taken the suspects into custody.
CPS Security said the Verwoerdpark region has seen a rise in home invasions during the past few weeks.
