Anonymous tip-off leads to arrest in Randhart

By working together, residents and security companies can help ensure the safety and security in the community.

A tip-off received by CPS Security regarding suspected drug activity at a local shopping center on General Alberts Street, Randhart, resulted in a collaborative effort between CPS Security’s Tactical team and the Alberton SAPS.

Following the tip-off, authorities monitored the activities in the parking lot and conducted searches on several vehicles and individuals.

“During the operation, we arrested one suspect who was in possession of narcotics, and a vehicle with falsified number plates was seized,” said Tyrone van der Merwe, sales director of CPS Security.

CPS Security encourages members of the public to continue providing anonymous tip-offs within the Alberton, Germiston, and Johannesburg South areas.

For those who wish to contribute information anonymously, CPS Security offers a platform on their website.

Narcotics were seized during the operation.
