CPS Security successfully arrests reported suspects in the greater Alberton area
Locals are urged to report any form of crime to law enforcement organisations.
CPS Security has caused quite a stir in the Alberton area over the last two weeks by making several noteworthy arrests.
Their proactive efforts have resulted in a safer neighbourhood by apprehending wanted suspects to burglars.
Alleged house burglar arrested in Randhart
A call was received from a CPS Security client who spotted a suspicious man pushing a generator in Amandel Street, General Alberts Park.
CPS Security reaction units investigated. On their arrival, the suspect fled on foot into the Randhart area.
According to CPS Security, the suspect jumped over a resident’s wall in Jacqueline Road where he attempted to steal a bicycle.
The reaction officers managed to apprehend him after a short chase on foot. The suspect and generator have been transported to Alberton Police Station.
CPS Security advised if your generator had been stolen to claim it at the Police Station.

Supposedly burglar was arrested in Bassonia
A call was made to the CPS Security Control Centre reporting the sighting of unidentified men on a resident’s property.
Tactical and reaction personnel from CPS Security were sent to the scene.
Upon their arrival, the officers spotted three men packing stolen goods into a small silver car. They discovered house break-in tools, and the three individuals were taken into custody after the officers contacted the Mondeor SAPS.
Man arrested for possession of a firearm in Meyersdal
A suspicious Volkswagen Polo was flagged by a CPS Security surveillance trailer in the Brackendowns area.
The vehicle was spotted by one of their tactical units and the driver was arrested after the officers discovered ammunition in the vehicle.
The suspect allegedly threw a firearm into a resident’s yard, which was recovered by CPS Security and SAPS. The police suspect that the firearm was used in the commission of crime.
It was later established that the suspect originally attempted to dispose of the firearm at the entrance of Meyersdal Eco Estate.
High-speed chase arrest in Alberton
For the past few weeks, a syndicate has been targeting residential homes by stealing outdoor beams. The suspects hit five houses within the Alberton area during the early hours of the morning on March 27.
CPS Security tactical team and EMPD placed vehicles strategically at the exits of the suburbs to spot the suspects’ car.
The vehicle was spotted exiting the Verwoerdpark area and CPS Security tactical team and EMPD ensued a chase. The suspects lost control of their vehicle in the Alrode area.
One suspect was arrested on scene and the second managed to escape. House break-in equipment and stolen beams were found in the vehicle.
