The operation featured roadblocks, stop-and-searches, drug busts, and the shutdown of illegal shebeens, leading to the removal of criminals from the community.

The collaborative effort has been hailed for protecting communities and making a real impact, with CPS Security proud to stand alongside all partners in the initiative.

General Tommy Mthombeni, Commander of the Provincial Crime Task Force, spoke about the operation.

“Operation Shanela has sent a message to criminals in Johannesburg -we are united, relentless, and we will not rest until our streets are safe for every citizen. This joint operation proves that when agencies lock arms, crime has nowhere to hide,” said General Mthombeni.
