Alberton murder suspect arrested in Vosloorus
Police arrested a suspect connected to a murder investigation during a coordinated operation, while the search for a second suspect continues.
A suspect linked to a murder case in Alberton has been arrested in Vosloorus on June 12, following an intelligence-driven, multi-agency operation, Gauteng police confirmed.
The arrest was carried out by a joint team comprising SAPS Tactical Response Team TRT, Alberton SAPS, Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department CLU, and CPS Security.
Authorities said intensive investigations led members to the Vosloorus area, where the suspect was located and placed under arrest without incident.
Ongoing investigation
Police say investigations remain ongoing. A second suspect believed to be involved in the same murder is still being sought by authorities.
No further details about the case or identities of the suspects have been released to avoid compromising the investigation.
The coordinated operation highlights ongoing collaboration between SAPS, metro police, and private security structures to tackle violent crime in Ekurhuleni.

Law enforcement praised the professionalism and coordination of all members involved.
“Well done to all members involved for their professionalism, teamwork, and commitment to ensuring those responsible for violent crimes are brought to justice,” said Alberton SAPS station commander, Colonel Olivein Letloenyane.
”Right now, there are risks of compromising the case if more information is given, we will update the media and the public in due course.”
