APN grateful for support

President High School raise funds for the Animal Protection Network.

Brackendowns SAPS hosted an event to showcase various partners who fight crime together. The Animal Protection Network (APN), an organisation that looks after the vulnerable and homeless pets in the Alberton and surrounding areas, was at the event.

We are solely dependent on external funding from the community. There has been an increase in homeless animals in 2022, which has been quite a challenge for us. Unlike humans, animals don’t have voices of their own, and we at APN strive to speak out for them and make life a little easier for them.

At the SAPS event, principal Wayne Melville presented us with funds raised at President High School’s reunion earlier this year. We are grateful for this amazing gesture from President High School. Every little bit helps and we can now feed one or two more animals in need.

At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
