Tasty Gallos leaves a huge footprint
While uplifting the community through the Gallos Care Initiative, Tasty Gallos has committed to combating the scourge of unemployment in Alberton and greater Jo’burg South areas.
With Tasty Gallos seeing an unceasing growth, the emerging fast food franchise’s CEO Muhammed Gutta has maintained that serving the community comes first before profits.
Not only are they driven on finding tastier ways of putting a smile on locals’ faces, they are also committed on becoming a solution to the country’s youth by creating employment and eradicating poverty.
They believe it is important to plough back to communities and not just in profits generated by business, but by creating opportunities – particularly for young people through their corporate responsibility programme.
Tasty Gallos has embarked on the Gallos Care Initiative. Through the campaign, they contribute donations and spend quality time with the marginalised.

Gutta said: “We have initiated the Gallos Care Initiative, which has been active for some time now. We get involved with old age homes, orphanages and a number of other charities across the country. There are quite a large number of areas in Johannesburg South where we have recently donated some tables for crèches.”
In Joburg south predominantly, Gutta said they will be engaging with communities to provide employment to specifically individuals aged 29 years and younger.
This is part of their way of ploughing back to the community and curbing the scourge of the ever-growing high unemployment rate.
“Our initiative is across all of our stores, whether they have experience or not. We’d like to give an opportunity to the people to list Tasty Gallos as an experience, even if they’re employed by us for a three months probation contract and they decide to pursue a career in another path,” he explained.
