Licensing services across Ekurhuleni disrupted

Technical problems hit National Traffic Information System (eNATIS).

Licensing centres across Ekurhuleni are currently experiencing difficulties when processing vehicle registrations and various licensing claims due to technical glitches with the National Traffic Information System (eNATIS).

According to the CoE, the problem started yesterday afternoon (February 21).

The eNatis is the competency of the National Department of Transport and its functionality is controlled by that department.

In the meantime, the city has made a contingency plan to assist licence renewal customers who were turned back at the licensing centres due to the current system glitch to return anytime within 14 days of their original appointment to renew their documents.

The licensing department’s operating hours are:

• 08:00 to 15:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays

• 09:00 to 15:00 on Wednesdays

• 08:00 to 12:00 on Saturdays.
