Lifa Masina gets a fully paid scholarship from Emperors Palace

The light is at the end of the tunnel. This comes when Lifa Masina was showered with a full year scholarship after struggling financially in his first and second years.

Former Bracken High learner Lifa Masina has received an all-expenses-paid scholarship.

Lifa was among the 18 students from the City of Ekurhuleni chosen for either the Peermont Education Trust (PET) or Peermont Community Benefit Trust (PCBT) scholarships.

He matriculated in 2021, started his BHS Podiatry studies at the University of Johannesburg in 2022 without a bursary or NSFAS assistance, and constantly battled to pay his tuition.

He received a PET scholarship worth almost R170 000 after obtaining eight distinctions in the previous academic year. He can now look forward to his third year of study without worrying about money.

The Alberton Record would like to congratulate Lifa for this achievement and wish him nothing but the best for his studies.
