Ridhwaan Basa to host a talk show that aims to empower youngsters

Ridhwaan Basa (30) is set to host an intriguing talk show that aims to knowledge youth about how to generate income through Airbnb.

Ridhwaan’s entrepreneurial journey began at the age of 20, when he founded a tutoring company.
This small beginning has grown into a prominent source of online educational content, serving major organisations such as MTN, Africa’s telecommunications powerhouse.

But in the midst of the pandemic’s devastation in 2020, Ridhwaan changed course and entered the world of property investment, Airbnb.
He said that when he got COVID-19, his first experience in this field was full of unanticipated difficulties. This led to a serious case of pneumonia that required him to stay in the hospital for 29 days, including an unsafe 8 days in ICU.

“Hardship turned out to be a driving force behind my persistence and resolve. Rising from the illness’s shadow, I embraced a rekindled passion for life and an unflinching dedication to my business endeavours. Distracted by the disappointments, I moved quickly to build up my property portfolio, going from owning just one Airbnb home to an amazing collection of seven, in addition to a successful 12-bed student accommodation facility,” the aspiring businessman said.

Ridhwaan’s achievements

His impressive recuperation and creative strategy for real estate investing were well received. As evidence of his creativity and determination, Ridhwaan won the prestigious award of Most Innovative Investor of the Year in 2021 from the South African Property Investors Network.

“I keep working hard because I know where I can from. I promised myself that my life won’t be measured by failures and hardships that I went through. I am more than thrilled to know that my efforts don’t go unnoticed and this is a building factor that makes me to even work hard,” he said.

Benefiting from his achievements, Ridhwaan used his knowledge to draw investors to his developing ventures with offers of rich returns of 15% to 20% annually. His portfolio currently includes 16 Airbnbs, several of which are located in the thriving city of Dubai, as well as a promising 50-bed student housing project that is currently under development.

Additionally, he was named one of the most promising real estate investors to watch by 2030 by Dubai Daily.

This and that

Ridhwaan’s goals go beyond just buying real estate. In an attempt to broaden his business interests, he has dabbled in a number of side projects related to Airbnb property management, including event planning, coaching, and a growing Airbnb cleaning company.

“This is why I currently a talk show to be held here in Gauteng, Sandton, sometime around May so as to enrich young individuals and unleashing their full potential. It is important to teach young individuals about the benefits of taking calculated risks while taking every opportunity that comes into their way,” Ridhwaan explained.
