Golfers tee off for Stepping Stone Hospice
Stepping Stone Hospice hosted a fun-filled golf day to raise much-needed funds.
Stepping Stone Hospice held a golf event to generate funds for a new children’s ward, on April 18.
This key project will provide expert care and assistance to young patients with life-threatening illnesses. There is an acute shortage of facilities specialised to children’s palliative care.
This section, named after Stepping Stone’s first child patient, Martelise Meaker, will have 10 beds, a separate area for parents, and play and study facilities, all in a warm and friendly setting meant to reduce tension and anxiety.
Golfers and sponsors enjoyed the beautiful day at the Reading Country Club.
