CPS Security has made significant progress in Alberton with crime prevention in the last few weeks.
Arrests made over the past few weeks:
• During a routine patrol, CPS Security’s reaction unit identified and arrested a wanted suspect in Glen Albyn Road, Raceview.
The suspect, who had failed to appear in court for house break-in charges, was apprehended near a local filling station after attempting to evade officers. Subsequently, the suspect was handed over to the Alberton SAPS.

• In collaboration with EMPD Community Liaison Unit (CLU), CPS Security intercepted a suspicious vehicle on Voortrekker Road, New Redruth.
Upon searching the vehicle’s occupants, narcotics and a gas gun were discovered, leading to the arrest of one suspect.

• Responding to a fraud report, CPS Security’s tactical team swiftly apprehended two suspects on Liebenberg Street, Alrode.
The suspects were posing as employees using false credentials and company attire. Thanks to the vigilance of CPS Security, the perpetrators were caught, and a case of fraud was opened.

• Following a tip-off from a vigilant resident, CPS Security’s units responded to reports of cable theft in Brackenhurst.
A high-speed pursuit ensued, resulting in the apprehension of four suspects after their vehicle collided with a resident’s wall. Confiscated items included stolen cables, false plates, and cutting tools.

• In a quick response to multiple panic signals from a local convenience store, CPS Security foiled an armed robbery on Du Plessis Street, Florentia.
Two suspects were arrested with the help of an off-duty member in the vicinity. One firearm was recovered.
