Life Brackenview empowers Randhart students

Life Brackenview recently made an impactful school visit at Alberton Matric Project.

Life Brackenview recently visited the Alberton Matric Project in Randhart on July 8.

The team engaged with students from grades eight to 12 and educated them on the different types of emotions one can experience and how to effectively deal with their emotions.

Their lessons were also focused on helping them recognise their own triggers, develop self-awareness, and self-regulation and identify early signs of emotional distress.

“We then conducted activities with the teachers on practical skills for managing stress, improving emotional resilience and maintaining positive mental health. These included noticing triggering points with pupils and how to manage challenging situations,” explained marketing and communications coordinator, Ashni Padiachey.

She said they also did mindfulness exercises and assertiveness exercises to remind teachers to set and maintain boundaries to protect their emotional well-being.

Padiachey said they believe their visit will empower students and teachers to prioritize their mental health and seek support when needed.
