Hoërskool Alberton’s cross country battle among pupils
Not only does it help participants keep fit, cross country allows leaners to have fun, joy, and it makes them laugh with friends.

Learners at Hoërskool Alberton competed against each other in cross-country running as part of the school’s athletics programme.
Before learners hit the track, they all gather for a group prayer.
The school’s most recent top runners were Sinclair Dlabatshana (boys U19) who placed second in a field of 25;
Callista Prinsloo (girls U17) placed second in a field of 31; Angelique Bekker (girls U17) placed fifth in a field of 41;
Cecil Hendriks (boys U16) placed fourth in a field of 30; Bridgett Mbedzi (girls U16) placed sixth in a field of 16; and Taneal Truscott (girls U15) placed 13th out of a field of 40.
