Creative Academy Group donates 300 bras for breast cancer awareness

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month comes around annually, and this October was no exception.

The Creative Academy Group used this time to raise awareness about breast cancer, one of the most common kinds of cancer in women that has affected many of our families.

The Creative Academy Group called on their community, parents and teachers to donate any new or second-hand bras in honour of those fighting or who have survived the battle with breast cancer to preserve some dignity for those who can’t afford it.

The Creative Academy Group called on the community, parents and teachers to donate new or second-hand bras.

On October 31, they handed 300 bras to Lorraine Papazoglou, a community angel working with her church. The church supports areas such as Bellavista, Daleside, Walkerville, and Alberton.

She was overwhelmed by the support and said she was excited to spread joy to those who need it.

“At Creative Academy, our school is always ready to give back to the community and what better way than to make every woman feel dignified?” said principal Tarryn Botha.
