Stepping Stone desperately needs inflatable hair wash basins

Help Stepping Stone Hospice provide a better hair-washing experience for the little ones in their Children’s In-Patient Unit.

Stepping Stone Hospice & Care Services recently opened doors to their children’s paediatric care unit, Martelise Meaker Children’s In-Patient Unit, in Raceview.

The hospice provides compassionate care to patients between 0 and 18 years old with a life-shortening diagnosis during challenging times.

To extend their care to young patients, they request financial donations to purchase two inflatable hair wash basins, which cost R780 each, to provide a better hair-washing experience for the little ones.

The inflatable hair wash basins include a portable water shower bag that provides supreme comfort and support.
Stepping Stone Hospice’s CEO Tersia Burger, said these basins will ensure a tear-free hair wash and provide a safe and dignified way to wash the hair of their young patients.

“We also desperately need a first aid kit, and will appreciate the community’s support,” she said.
