The Alberton Elite Gymnastics Club hosted a fun summer fair for kids and their parents to enjoy.
The December 7 fair drew children from Alberton and its surrounding areas to a fun-filled day.
The club director, Mbali Lamola, spoke about the day’s activities: “The event’s primary aim was to build a feeling of community with the people around us and introduce kids to a new and fun environment. We also wanted to give the parents and kids a chance to relax and bring them a bit of fun.”

The kids’ activities included giant slides, a jumping castle, and a fun alley. Coupled with live entertainment, small business owners set up their stalls, and food was also for sale.
The kids ran around, enjoying all the activities on a beautiful day, marking a fitting start to the festive season.

The Alberton Record spoke to a parent at the event, Anastacia Plaatjies, “Out of today’s experience, I hope the children had fun and growth. We also want to see teacher Mbali’s club grow and her becoming successful. I wish her well. To our children, I see you guys make it in the future, and I hope you enjoyed today, my babies,” she said.
