Celebrate love and compassion at La Vita Tou Kafe’s charity market
Shop Valentine’s goodies, enjoy delicious treats, and meet adorable animals - all while supporting the Animal Protection Network’s mission to rescue and care for stray pets.
La Vita Tou Kafe will be hosting its second market on February 8, at 203 Dephinium Street in Brackenhurst from 09:00 to 13:00.
The event is a heartfelt initiative by Despina Kandralidis and her husband Chris to support the Animal Protection Network (APN) and its tireless efforts to care for stray and unwanted animals.
The market aims to raise awareness and gather food donations for the “furbabies” under APN’s care.
Visitors will enjoy a variety of offerings, including Valentine’s goodies and book sale by Animal Protection Network, a talk and animal interaction by Wild Ones organisation, boerewors rolls sold by CPF, safety tips from CPS.
Local vendors will also be present, selling everything from pregos, sauces, cakes, and biscuits to biltong, jewellery, keyrings, and artwork – perfect gifts for Valentine’s Day.
La Vita Tou Kafe will serve its popular coffee, smoothies, iced coffee, granitas, and frappes, while Greek and Italian Cuisine such as biscotti, baklava, mille foglie, and more will be on offer.
APN is a registered non-profit organisation based in Alberton and working in surrounding areas.
With the help of community volunteers, they rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome stray and unwanted animals.
The organisation also works with veterinary clinics such as New South Veterinary Centre, Paws in Motion, Brackenhurst Veterinary Clinic, and Hennie Alberts Veterinary Clinic to provide medical care for injured and ill pets.
APN relies solely on donations and fundraising to cover expenses, including vet bills, feeding programs, and sterilizations.
