Hoërskool Dinamika U14 cricket team put on an exhilarating show of skill and precision as they triumphed over St Declans U14 by a commanding 10 wickets in a one-sided clash at the weekend.
St Declans batted first and struggled to make an impact, posting a modest total of 34 all out in just 12.5 overs.
The standout performance with the ball came from Tristan McGonigle, who delivered an exceptional spell of bowling, finishing with figures of 3.5 overs, six runs, and five wickets.
His remarkable performance shattered St Declans’ hopes of building any substantial innings.
Andries du Toit also played a crucial role, claiming two wickets for just 10 runs in his three overs. Lulo Tapfumaneyi added to the dominance, picking up one wicket while conceding only nine runs in his three-over spell.
With a target of just 35 runs to chase, Dinamika wasted no time in responding.
The opening partnership between Armand van Wyk and Joshua Hugo was clinical, as the pair saw their team over the line in just four overs. Armand top-scored with a superb 20 runs from 16 balls, not out, while Joshua supported him well, adding a quick-fire 10 runs off just eight deliveries, also not out.
Dinamika’s victory was highlighted by their all-around performance, with their bowlers dominating St Declans and the batsmen chasing down the target with ease.
The team emerged victorious by 10 wickets, with St Declans unable to make any impact with the bat.
