Junior Colleges Meyersdal spreads love and joy on Valentine’s Day
Love and laughter fill the air at Junior Colleges Meyersdal’s Valentine’s celebration
Junior Colleges Meyersdal, previously known as Castillian, was filled with love, laughter, and joy as students, parents, and teachers came together for a heartwarming Valentine’s Day celebration.
The special day was a wonderful opportunity for children to express their creativity and for families to share in the spirit of love and appreciation.
The highlight of the event was the delightful biscuit decorating activity, where little ones channelled their inner bakers to design heart-shaped sugar biscuits. With an array of colourful icing, sprinkles, and edible decorations, the children created sweet masterpieces that were as delicious as they were beautiful.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, the students arrived dressed in their finest Valentine’s-themed outfits.
From bright red dresses to dapper bow ties, the school was a sea of pink, red, and white as the children proudly showcased their love for the occasion.
A particularly touching moment of the celebration was when parents had the opportunity to write heartfelt messages to their children.

These special notes, filled with love and encouragement, created a beautiful keepsake for the little ones to cherish for years to come.
The event was a true testament to the strong sense of community at Junior Colleges Meyersdal. As the day came to a close, it was evident that Valentine’s Day wasn’t just about chocolates and gifts – it was about celebrating love, family, and the joy of being together.
“A big thank you to all the parents, staff, and students who made this day so memorable. We look forward to many more moments of love and togetherness in the future,” said the principal, Elriza Riddle.
