Alberton artist announces the release of her debut album

Fans are urged to get ready for a musical journey that is not to be missed.

Acclaimed vocalist, Zethe from Alberton, is set to release her much-anticipated debut album, Breathe, on March 7.
The album is a sonic journey of healing, reflection and resilience.

The music is rooted in the concept of, ‘ikhambi’ (music as medicine), providing breathing amidst the chaos we face in our daily lives, reclaiming our humanity, summoning courage, nurturing hope, and finding solace in love and prayer.

To celebrate this release, Zethe and her band will embark on a nationwide tour with stops in Johannesburg, Durban, and Cape Town, offering fans an immersive live experience of the album.

A dual celebration: album release and tour

The album explores themes of mental health, healing, and human connection. Tracks like Ukukhanya (There’s Light), Uthando (A Love Letter), and the titular Breathe showcase Zethe’s journey of her healing into music that mirrors the struggles and triumphs of the human spirit.

“Releasing Breathe has been a deeply personal and transformative journey,” Zethe shared.

“This album is my way of offering comfort and courage to others. We all experience moments where life feels overwhelming, but if we pause, take a breath and reconnect with ourselves, we can find the strength to keep going. The tour is a chance to share this message in person as we celebrate life, healing, and music together.”

Kicking off as the release of the album, Zethe’s tour promises an emotionally rich and immersive live experience, blending her captivating voice, soulful instrumentation, and heartfelt storytelling.
