Catering company gives back to the community

In celebration of her best friend's birthday, Candice reached out and fed children in need over the Easter weekend.

The goal of Magic Monkey Catering was to feed 40 children in Eden Park as a way of celebrating Candice’s best friend’s 40th birthday on April 18.

The founder of Magic Monkey Catering, Candice Mohamed, started her business in 2022 and has been giving back to the community by feeding children in need.

“I decided to start feeding the people at the traffic light every first Sunday of the month, during the time we were still in Boksburg,” she said.

“I wanted to feed children for the Easter holidays, too. Then Donovan Da Don Minnie and Alvino January contributed towards the Easter feast. I know how it feels not to have a proper plate of food. It hurts. So I try to help where I can, and I also give toiletries when I can,” she added.
