“On Tuesday night, they informed us to hand in our required documents to Opelweg Primary School for an internship. Upon arrival at 09:50, I and several others waited at the school’s gate, and were informed at 10:15 that they could take no more CVs because they had been taking CVs since 06:00,” said one frustrated Facebook user.
The impasse prompted other Facebook users in the comments section to express frustration over similar experiences in the past.
“Corruption and favouritism… but action must be taken to stop it,” read one comment.
“Contact the SGB members, they should handle the recruitment process, not the principal,” said another user.
The Alberton Record has sought comment from the school and will add it once received.
