The Alberton CPF took their services to the community on May 2 with a visible presence at Town Square New Market, reinforcing its commitment to the safety and well-being of local residents.
According to the treasure of the CPF, Deidre de Carvalho, the proactive patrol aimed not only to deter criminal activity but also to connect with community members, offering insight into the vital role the CPF plays in local safety initiatives.
Volunteers from the CPF were on hand to engage with the public, answering questions and sharing information on how residents can get involved.
“Being part of the CPF is about more than patrols. It’s about building trust, collaboration, and a shared responsibility for our neighbourhood,” said Deidre.
The CPF encouraged anyone interested in crime prevention, community service, or simply learning more about local safety efforts to stop by and chat.
Volunteers explained the responsibilities involved, the training available, and the positive impact members can have.
As safety concerns continue to be a top priority for residents across Alberton, the CPF hopes initiatives like this patrol will inspire more people to get involved.
Becoming a CPF volunteer offers a hands-on way to contribute to a safer, more united community.
