WATCH: Hoërskool Alberton took its open day activities to a Germiston-based primary

Hoërskool Alberton took its open-day activities to Laerskool Delville, located in Lambton, Germiston, for the school’s open day.

Hoërskool Alberton hosts open days to attract Grade Seven learners, particularly those who will be first-timers (Grade Eight) in high school.

The May 6 open day in Germiston saw pupils from Hoërskool Alberton and those from Laerskool Delville come together in a hall for some fun and games. A mascot formed part of the delegation representing Hoërskool Alberton in Germiston.

Laerskool Delville learners also received booklets that contained the history of Hoërskool Alberton as a school, what is expected of learners there, and other information relating to Hoërskool Alberton.

“Thank you to Hoërskool Alberton, who came to visit the Delvies. Delvies wishes you all the best with the open evening that will take place on May 7,” said Laerskool Delville in a statement.

Hoërskool Alberton also released a statement, thanking the Germiston-based primary school for hosting it.

“Thank you very much, Laerskool Deville, for allowing us to visit you guys. We were received so nicely today. It was loads of fun, and being with you is always a pleasure. You guys have the best spirit, and please remember us for Grade Eight in 2026. Come see why Allies is the place for you.”
